Pelican BioThermal Hires Greg Wheatley as New VP of Engineering

September 23, 2016
No Comments

Pelican BioThermal, a global leader providing the broadest and most innovative range of temperature-controlled packaging solutions serving the life sciences industry, announces the addition of Greg Wheatley as Vice President of Worldwide Product Development and Engineering.

With 20 years of hands-on business and leadership experience, Wheatley brings with him the acumen to continue the exciting product roadmap that produced Cr?do™ Cargo, TIC™ Smart Indicator and Chronos™ single-use parcel shippers. Moving forward, he will lead the active development of new and enhanced products to be released over the next several years.

Prior to Pelican BioThermal, Wheatley held the position of Vice President of Engineering and Program Management with TSI Incorporated, a global company focused on the design and production of precision measurement instruments, and was responsible for leading all product development methods for improved overall performance and output.

"Our customized approach to engineering and design is a key part of our business that requires strong leadership and attention to detail," said Dave Williams, President of Pelican BioThermal. "As a proven leader with experience in a variety of technology sectors, including medical device technology, we are thrilled to welcome Greg Wheatley as head of our engineering team."

Wheatley replaces Kevin Valentine who helped found Cool Logistics™ in 2000 and transitioned from his role as Managing Director to Pelican BioThermal's Vice President of Product Development and Engineering when Pelican Products purchased Cool Logistics in 2014. Valentine will continue to work with Pelican BioThermal, as he joins established regional temperature-controlled packaging distributor, Cool Logistics India, as Chief Technical Officer.
