CLV500 Series mini bar-code scanners

August 2, 2010
No Comments

SICK, a manufacturer of sensors, safety systems, machine vision, and automatic identification products for factory and logistics automation, has launched a line of miniature bar-code scanners. Barely larger than a USB plug, the CLV500 Series units can easily be installed where space is extremely limited.

The ultra-compact bar-code scanners boast excellent decoding performance, with a large depth of field that allows for flexibility in code size and target placement. They are suitable for applications in the OEM and machine builder marketplace, such as packaging systems, circuit board processing, and robotic inspection. Units in this series also offer fast and easy commissioning using an online tool—no new software is necessary.
