Haller Promoted to Senior Business Development Manager

October 30, 2019
No Comments

PRESTON, MD - October 30, 2019, Choptank Transport is pleased to announce the promotion of Morgan Haller to senior business development manager in the company's Tampa, Florida, office.
Haller, a Maryland Eastern Shore native, began her career at Choptank in 2014 after spending several years as a horse trainer. She was introduced to the industry as a carrier sales representative and quickly rose to the position of carrier development representative. In this role, she acted as a mediator and advocate for thousands of Choptank's contracted owner-operators.
Haller later became involved in employee training and, as an operations training manager, taught new logistics staff about the intricacies of the business.
Last year, Haller was promoted to regional office training manager to assist with the education of employees who work in four of the company's five regional offices, which include Tampa, Dallas, Denver, and Atlanta.
Haller will relocate to Florida for her new role as senior business development manager and be responsible for helping drive the growth of the Tampa office while supporting the general manager with additional initiatives.
"I look forward to being able to educate, coach, and positively influence the team members in our Tampa office," she said. "Growth and success are my primary focus."
"Morgan is the perfect candidate for this new position. She has demonstrated strong leadership abilities in multiple roles within the company," said Choptank Transport Director of Business Development Paul Wood. "Seeing one of our employees walk into this business with no experience, learn it inside and out, and then take on an advanced role in one of our regional offices is extremely gratifying. All of our employees have so much potential. It is an exciting time at Choptank."
Choptank Transport, a nationwide third-party logistics company continues to grow in Preston and in its regional locations, including Baltimore, Denver, Dallas, Atlanta, and Tampa. Promoting employees from within is indicative of the company's culture and is a large part of its success.
