Alabama - BR Williams Trucking was the recipient of three awards presented at the Alabama Trucking Association's Annual Fleet Safety Awards Banquet at the Pelham Civic Complex in Birmingham, AL on Monday, March 25, 2019.

The 60-year-old company, based in Oxford, AL, placed second in the General Commodities Local division, placed second in the General Commodities Linehaul division, and placed third in the General Commodities Combined division of the Fleet Awards!

"These awards are a testament from our drivers and staff of putting safety first," said Craig Burgess, BR Williams, Vice President of Transportation. "Congratulations to all."

According to ATA Director of Safety Tim Frazier, to ensure fairness and transparency, winners are chosen by an independent panel of fleet safety experts from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Motor Carrier Safety Unit.

"Our awards promote safety and professionalism at all levels of trucking from truck cab to boardroom," said Frazier.

The event honors ATA member fleets for having the lowest accident rates for miles traveled within Alabama for the previous calendar year.

"I can't tell you how proud we are of our entire fleet of drivers for all the hard work it took to earn these Awards for Safety from the ATA," said Jack Brim, BR Williams, Vice President of Transportation. "With all the ELD regulations and traffic on our roadways, you have a very tough job every mile. Dispatch wants you to know you are appreciated. Thank you for all you do."
