WITRON won the award for their development and implementation of an integrated Omni-Channel solution for Swiss grocer Migros and its convenience store division migrolino. The system required the merging of the volatile small-volume order picking of migrolino AG with the regular Migros store business at the centrally located distribution center in Suhr. By combining the logistics processes for different distribution channels and different product groups in a mechanized system, WITRON optimized cost-efficiency along the entire supply chain. Today, the distribution center in Suhr supplies 600 Migros stores of different sizes and 300 Convenience stores for the subsidiary called migrolino. "The foundation for this extraordinary success is undoubtedly the cooperative partnership, which we have been maintaining with Migros for many years", emphasized WITRON CEO, Helmut Prieschenk. "As you can see, leading-edge solutions that generate sustainable competitive advantages for the customer in terms of cost-efficiency, flexibility, and ergonomics are generated in a business relationship characterized by mutual trust and loyalty."
