THOMASVILLE, N.C. (Feb. 7, 2017) — Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. partnered with Major League Baseball (MLB) teams across the country for "Moving Day". The Spring Training send-off is a ritual where fans and players celebrate the start of a new season.
Old Dominion partnered with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Chicago White Sox, Kansas City Royals and New York Mets for Moving Day and the 2017 season.
The Angels' Old Dominion Moving Day on February 3, featured the Single Game Ticket On Sale and Yard Sale, as well as interactive activities and games for fans at the front gates of Angel Stadium. Angels infielder Danny Espinosa, broadcaster and former pitcher Mark Langston and bench coach Dino Ebel signed autographs throughout the event. Old Dominion moved the Angels to Spring Training in Tempe, Arizona.
The Chicago White SoxFest celebrated the team's sendoff on January 29, before departing for Glendale, Arizona. Old Dominion moved all of the team's equipment to the Hilton Chicago for the annual convention, SoxFest 2017.

On February 2, Old Dominion prepared for the Kansas City Royals departure to Surprise, Arizona. Old Dominion loaded the trailer with all of the team's equipment.
Old Dominion moved the New York Mets to Port St. Lucie, Florida for Spring Training on February 3. The Mets held an invitation-only Open House for behind-the-scene activities, including visits to the team clubhouse, autographed memorabilia and an appearance from Mr. and Mrs. Met.
The Texas Rangers, Boston Red Sox and Chicago Cubs also have partnered with Old Dominion for the 2017 season.
