The Chicago White SoxFest celebrated the team's sendoff on January 29, before departing for Glendale, Arizona. Old Dominion moved all of the team's equipment to the Hilton Chicago for the annual convention, SoxFest 2017.

"We are proud to continue our partnership with MLB teams across the country, and are excited for the 2017 season to begin," said David Carter, vice president of marketing and communications at Old Dominion Freight Line.

On February 2, Old Dominion prepared for the Kansas City Royals departure to Surprise, Arizona. Old Dominion loaded the trailer with all of the team's equipment.

Old Dominion moved the New York Mets to Port St. Lucie, Florida for Spring Training on February 3. The Mets held an invitation-only Open House for behind-the-scene activities, including visits to the team clubhouse, autographed memorabilia and an appearance from Mr. and Mrs. Met.

The Texas Rangers, Boston Red Sox and Chicago Cubs also have partnered with Old Dominion for the 2017 season.
