TKF offers a new conveyor featuring non-contact, zero pressure accumulation that stages from the discharge end around virtually any degree of curve. The PosiGrip design is suitable for use in the computer and electric component, food and beverage, appliance, automotive, and glass industries when non-contact between products is crucial.
The accumulation zones are driven by motorized rollers, each with a drive card with settings to allow easy speed adjustment. The drive roller stops as product reaches the photoeye at the zone's discharge point, virtually ensuring no contact. Zones can be individually controlled for specific assembly areas and are available in various widths.
The PosiGrip roller drive gear teeth are formed directly into the rollers and powered by smooth, quiet synchronous belting in a positive drive. This provides superior drive force compared to line shaft and O-ring styles of conveyors. The PosiGrip rollers are driven by belts for quiet operation with no metal-to-metal contact. The unit requires no lubrication, and there are no separate sprockets, gears, or welded drive components, making it cleaner and easier to maintain than comparable conveyors. The PosiGrip technology also offers low power consumption, as zones only run when required. Pre-assembled and pre-wired modular sections reduce installation time and field wiring costs.
