Fortis H40-70FT lift truck

Hyster Co. has added another vehicle to its Fortis line of lift trucks. The Fortis H40-70FT is a sit-down, counterbalanced internal combustion (IC) powered vehicle with solid pneumatic tires. With capacities ranging from 4,000 to 7,000 pounds, the new vehicles reduce operating costs by matching the right engine with the proper transmission for specific applications. Multi-tiered engine transmission configurations create efficient power-trains, offering greater fuel efficiency. A redesigned hydraulic system has simplified componentry and routes away from heat sources, such as the engine, to reduce the number of potential leak points. The electric systems have also been upgraded for improved reliability. Electro-hydraulic controls are integrated into the seat armrest to reduce driver fatigue, increase driver comfort and enhance the driver's ability to operate the lifting functions efficiently. The user may choose the optional joystick or minilever fingertip hydraulic controls. The units also offer a small steering wheel with standard steer knob, a storage compartment and an improved seat design.
