UE 100 Series of Safety Controllers

SICK, a company that makes sensors, safety systems and automatic identification products, has released its new UE 100 Series of Safety Controllers. The UE 440 and UE 470 offer customers a mid-range safety controller with more advanced features and flexibility than a safety relay, but without the complexity and cost of using a safety PLC. The units offer 15 single-channel inputs, seven of which can be configured as two-channel inputs. Two safe connections (Cat. 4, SIL 3) for electro-sensitive protective equipment from SICK can support configuration and diagnostics. The safety controllers also feature low initial costs and low wiring expense.
