LLamasoft to Host Seventh Annual SummerCon Supply Chain Conference in Detroit

May 31, 2017 (ANN ARBOR, Mich.) LLamasoft, the global leader in supply chain design software solutions, will welcome supply chain practitioners and leaders from many of the world's largest companies to the seventh annual SummerCon conference, June 12-16 at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance. This year attendees are encouraged to "Come Run With Your Herd" at the only gathering of its kind for supply chain modelers and innovators. This year's event will feature six tracks specifically dedicated to all areas of supply chain design technology and best practices, including case studies from customers, partners and other industry experts. The conference will begin with two days of pre-conference training, where attendees will receive hands-on training on the latest innovations in supply chain design technology.

SummerCon 2017 will offer thought-provoking keynote addresses from former President of Mexico Vicente Fox; professor and science writer Phillip Tetlock; businessman and former World Champion of Card Magic, Helder Guimarães; Edgard Pezzo, Executive Director Global Logistics, General Motors; and LLamasoft President and CEO, Don Hicks.

The conference will offer the Supply Chain Design Expo Hall where leading supply chain industry vendors will share their innovative offerings and provide real-time demonstrations to attendees. Author Hilary Grosskopf will host a meet and greet book signing for her 2017 book release, "Awake Leadership". Multiple networking opportunities and a look ahead at the LLamasoft product roadmap are also highly anticipated features of the event.

"SummerCon is the only supply chain design conference of its kind," said Don Hicks, President and CEO of LLamasoft. "This event encourages supply chain designers and planners to escape the office and collaborate with the best minds in the business. Together we will stretch our thinking, push our comfort zones, and expand our imaginations around what's next in supply chain design and the competitive advantage it yields."
