ModusLink To Help Tile Expand Global Business Operations

Tile's Devices that Help People Locate the Things that Matter to them Most Utilizes ModusLink's E-Commerce and Supply Chain Solutions to Expand Global Customer Adoption

ModusLink today announced that it was selected by Tile, the smart location company and makers of a device that consumers can attach to everyday items to locate when misplaced or stolen. ModusLink will lead the brand's global e-commerce expansion through a series of innovative order fulfillment, procurement and data management best practices that will enable the company to quickly reach potential clients anywhere on the globe.

By teaming with ModusLink, Tile will be able to meet the growing demand for its products in markets such as Australia, Canada, the European Union and New Zealand. To do so, ModusLink will streamline Tile's kitting processes for greater efficiency.

For the European market, ModusLink also plans to launch a variety of fast and reliable order fulfillment services for the brand, ranging from resource planning to inventory management, in order to boost the speed at which products can reach the consumer. ModusLink expects to have this service up and running for Tile prior to the start of the upcoming holiday season.

"With numerous sources predicting the global IoT market to reach into the trillions of dollars with close to 30 million IoT endpoints as early as 2020, there is no better time than the present for Tile to begin this journey with ModusLink," says Sándor Kiss, Director of Manufacturing Operations at Tile. "Tile is at the vanguard of this market opportunity. We are building a global community in the IoT space with our smart location technology and that requires global expansion of our fulfillment operations."

To further support Tile's global expansion efforts, ModusLink will manage Tile's unit serialization process that enables essential product data to be easily captured. This process helps identify each "Tile" and associate it with its designated package and customer, expediting the order fulfillment response with a host of new advanced tracking capabilities.

ModusLink will also manage international transportation solutions for Tile, automating workflows and supporting data tracking with a variety of global multi-modal and multi-carrier options.

The combination of these e-commerce and supply chain solutions and services will enable Tile to focus on what's most important to the company's future success - product development - without the need to acquire any new personnel to handle costly and time-consuming supply chain operations.

"Tile represents the perfect example of a young and innovative company seeking to take advantage of the extensive resources ModusLink has to offer," says Hans Veenendaal, Chief Commercial Officer at ModusLink. "By combining our suite of solutions with its industry leading products, Tile will soon be able to reach its international expansion goals."
