New Recruit Haider to Focus on Caldwell's RUD / TECODS Range

November 21, 2019
No Comments

Rockford, Illinois-based The Caldwell Group Inc. has named Aftab Haider regional sales manager, Canada and USA, specializing in the TECDOS and hoist lines of RUD.
For approx. 18 months, Caldwell and the RUD Group have united their sales and marketing activities in North America for material handling and lifting devices within a common organization. However, the TECDOS and hoist products are relatively new to the Caldwell / RUD partnership in the U.S. and Canada.
Haider will initially be responsible for promoting these German-made hoist chains and the TECDOS range, which is a broad portfolio of RUD components—from chains to drives—for technically demanding material handling and other applications. The RUD / TECDOS ranges falls under Caldwell's Rigall division. Haider will travel extensively as he builds connections with both the dealer network and end users directly to promote these products and services.
Haider said: "I approached RUD to enquire about opportunities in North America, as I had worked with them previously. I was introduced to Caldwell where I went through an interviewing process."
Previously, Haider worked for CECO Environmental, offering air pollution control technologies; and STT Enviro Corp, providing chemical bulk handling systems and solutions. He pointed to the synergies in customer base with Caldwell, including representatives at mines, steel mills, water treatment plants, and in the automotive industry.
However, he acknowledged: "I am new to the TECDOS range and hoist chains, and have already engaged in extensive training on these products. The team has also been tremendously supportive. I am looking forward to working in the sectors I am already familiar with in addition to those that will be new to me—offshore, onshore, hoist manufacturers, and the entertainment sector, for example. Broadly, it is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, growing business portfolio."
Haider will report to Darrin Noe, director of sales at Caldwell, who said: "As we've reported in other personnel announcements, it is important that our new recruits fit the profile and culture of the company. Aftab also brings a wealth of experience to the position and we look forward to leveraging that to the benefit of the RUD / TECDOS ranges—indeed, the entire product portfolio."
Haider added: "Immediately, I want to build on my understanding of the market and identify opportunities for growth. It's important that I quickly learn about clients' expectations in the short, medium and long term. I'm also open about my personal desire to use my skills, CPD [continuing professional development], and ambition to take on increased responsibilities and climb within the company."
Haider is currently completing an executive Master of Business Administration (MBA). He is a keen summer golfer and enjoys spending time with his family. Haider can be contacted at aftab.haider@rud.com.
