Albis Technologies has a new active RFID-based, standalone solution for securing sensitive and controlled areas. This solution is designed for places that have restricted access and need to to be secured against unauthorized entry. The ZOMOFI Gate Access Management System is designed for retail and wholesale sectors where doors and gates to warehouses, storage areas, and stock rooms need to be rigidly controlled in terms of where, when, and to whom access is granted.
The system uses standalone, active RFID-enabled badges and readers. As a result, there is no need to link up with PCs, servers, or existing access control software. The ZOMOFI Z-Tag transponders are available in different versions ¬both for standard or ruggedized applications. The badges act as hands-free, portable devices and can be worn in many forms: as a bracelet, on a lanyard, or as a card. They can either be displayed or concealed in a pocket or bag. Once the badge is in range of the reader, it immediately sends signals to the reader for granting access. The system operates under a standalone control and signal transmission process that gives authorized personnel or vehicles entrance while automatically flagging anyone else as access denied.
The readers have a switching interface for controlling automatic doors, and settings can be configured to suit the necessary access requirements. In addition, authorized personnel can be registered at multiple stations, with several hundred people or vehicles per station. The ZOMOFI Gate Access Management System can be used in a fully automated operation and integrates easily with existing automatic gates and doors without the requirement for any retrofit. The system also functions at sub-zero temperatures and in hazardous areas.
