Deborah Dutton of Kuebix Named a 2019 Food Logistics Champion: Rock Star of the Supply Chain

Kuebix's Deborah Dutton Named 2019 Food Logistics Champion

March 19, 2019 (Maynard, MA) - Kuebix, creator of a transportation management system (TMS) that delivers true freight intelligence, is proud to announce that Food Logistics, the only publication exclusively dedicated to covering the movement of product through the global food supply chain, has named Deborah Dutton to its 2019 Food Logistics Champions: Rock Stars of the Supply Chain award.

The Food Logistics Champions: Rock Stars of the Supply Chain recognizes influential individuals in our industry whose achievements, hard work, and vision have shaped and attained milestones in safety, efficiency, productivity and innovation through the global food supply chain. From early pioneers and entrepreneurs to non-conformist thinkers and executive standouts, this award aims to honor these leaders and their contributions to our industry.

"When Deb works with Kuebix's grocery customers, she quickly becomes a trusted adviser by recommending best practices, eliminating unproductive tasks and increasing freight cost visibility," said Hetal Joshi, VP of Worldwide Services. "Her customer-first approach and expertise in the grocery industry make her a well-deserved recipient of this notable award. We're lucky to have Deb on the team at Kuebix and want to congratulate her on this well-earned achievement!"

"Our 2019 Food Logistics Champions: Rock Stars of the Supply Chain reflects the expanding diversity that is emerging in our industry, both in terms of demographics and talent," remarks Lara L. Sowinski. "The combination of experience and wisdom complemented with a new generation of professionals is resulting in a food and beverage supply chain that is in sync with consumers' demands while simultaneously adept and staying ahead of the logistical requirements."

As a Business Analyst at Kuebix, Dutton is responsible for ensuring that implementations of the transportation management system run smoothly. She works tirelessly to ensure that new technology implementations occur without interrupting business. Within the food supply chain, even the smallest disruption can impact a customers' bottom line. This is especially true in the perishable world where inventory is kept tight to avoid unnecessary salvage and to provide customers with the freshest product. Late, missed or damaged shipments can be the difference between a full shelf and an empty self. Dutton uses her extensive experience to implement Kuebix tools and services that keep the supply chain flowing seamlessly without disrupting other business functions.

Prior to joining Kuebix, Dutton worked at BJ's Wholesale Club as a Senior Business System Specialist and Inventory Control Specialist. She was responsible for replenishment of both perishable and shelf stable grocery merchandise. Prior to that she worked at Target managing a consumable department. These experiences helped her to understand the end-to-end supply chain as it relates to the grocery industry.

Recipients of this year's 2019 Food Logistics Champions: Rock Stars of the Supply Chain award will be profiled in the March 2019 issue of Food Logistics, as well as online at www.foodlogistics.com.
