Three LLamasoft Employees Named to Supply & Demand Chain Executive Pros to Know 2019 List

February 26, 2019
No Comments

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - February 26, 2019 - Today, LLamasoft, a global leader in supply chain design and decisioning solutions, announced that three LLamasoft employees - Dean Hully, Vikram Srinivasan and Rafael Vasquez - were all named to the 2019 Pros to Know list, sponsored by Supply & Demand Chain Executive. Hully, Srinivasan and Vasquez were selected from a pool of more than 500 nominations.

The Pros to Know Awards recognize supply chain executives and manufacturing and non-manufacturing enterprises that are leading initiatives to help prepare their companies' supply chains for the dramatic shifts in buyer sentiment, global trade relationships and adoption of technology. This year's list includes more than 200 individuals from software firms and service providers, consultancies or academia, who helped their supply chain clients, or the supply chain community at large, prepare to meet these challenges - and more than 40 Practitioner Pros, who do the same within their own companies.

In their respective roles, Hully, Srinivasan and Vasquez have made significant contributions to LLamasoft's ability to impact the growth and success of over 600 companies around the world. Key contributions include:

• Dean Hully, Vice President of Applied Research: Hully's staff of data scientists is a highly diverse group of employees, many of whom are recent graduates. This allows him to help shape the newest generation of supply chain professionals and actively work to solve the shortage of talent in the supply chain industry. Hully looks at each colleague as critical to the company's success and an integral part of the ongoing evolution and development of LLamasoft's proprietary algorithms, machine learning and artificial intelligence advancements. Fortune 500 companies rely on his team's scientific and data-driven approach to make better decisions about their complex global supply chains.

• Vikram Srinivasan, Senior Manager, Product Line Management - Data and Analytics: Srinivasan is leading the efforts to bring to market several LLamasoft solutions, most recently the company's newly released demand modeling and forecasting solution. This solution improves forecast accuracy by 10-30 percent, leveraging machine learning, advanced data pattern recognition and a proprietary trend cloud with close to a million external causal factors including macro, micro, weather and other data. With LLamasoft's demand forecasting solution, accuracy improvements represent hundreds of millions of dollars in savings resulting from the ability to see demand patterns in a more holistic way and eliminating waste from global supply chains.

• Rafael Vasquez, Managing Director: Vasquez is responsible for the hiring and expansion of the Latin American team throughout Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Panama. Through his efforts, LLamasoft has helped Latin America's largest manufacturers, retailers, food and beverage suppliers and agribusinesses create intelligent and optimized supply chain strategies as they establish their internal supply chain design practice. With the right combination of people, process, technology and strategy, companies can enable "digital twins" of their supply chains to optimize planning and execution while running thousands of what-if scenarios, allowing them to take the guesswork out of complex decision making.

"I'm extremely proud that three of our LLamas have been recognized for positively impacting the supply chain industry and creating value for our customers," said Razat Gaurav, CEO of LLamasoft. "Dean, Vik and Rafael join a growing list of LLamasoft employees recognized for helping our over 600 customers identify billions of dollars' worth of value and attain their financial, operational and sustainability goals by making smarter, data-driven decisions."
