SmartDrive Systems, a leader in driving performance solutions that reduce collisions and improve fuel efficiency, today announced that SmartDrive Vice President of Analytics Slaven Sljivar will participate in a panel discussion on preventing driver fatigue at the 10th Annual International Managing Fatigue Conference. This conference will take place March 20-23, 2017 in San Diego. Sljivar will join National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Chairman Michael Fox and SleepSafe Drivers Senior Vice President Steven Garrish and Chief Science Officer Dr. Alan Lankford to share insights on sleep dysfunction and fatigue management in commercial drivers.

Battling exhaustion while behind the wheel is paramount for commercial drivers and fleets. By staying informed on safe driving practices to avoid fatigue, fleet operators can improve safety, reduce risk and enhance driver wellness and quality of life. Session panelists will offer unique insight from a variety of industry perspectives, designed to help attendees recognize and mitigate the risks associated with fatigued driving, including how to leverage technology systems to combat driver fatigue.

Sljivar's comments will focus on how fleet technology is changing driver behavior and performance, as well as how systems such as SmartDrive's video analytics program are helping proactively address fatigue and other unsafe driving practices.
