Fuller Industries Selects Cloud Logistics' TMS to Automate Transportation Processes

August 17, 2016
No Comments

Fuller Industries, the international provider of quality cleaning products to commercial customers, has selected and deployed Cloud Logistics, a leading innovator and provider of next-generation transportation management systems (TMS), to automate and improve their transportation operations.

"As an American-based manufacturer with major operations in the heartland of Kansas, transportation and logistics operations are core to our success in terms of both customer service and creating shareholder value," said Debra Powers, Chief Financial Officer of Fuller Industries. "The Cloud Logistics solution will help us reduce costs and improve team productivity while still providing top service to our customers. I was impressed with Cloud Logistics' ability to deploy very quickly, allowing us to attain a rapid return on investment."

Fuller Industries is using the solution to manage both inbound and outbound operations. The TMS has already begun driving meaningful savings for the team by automating carrier selection, providing seamless communications with their carrier partners and creating visibility and collaboration throughout the entire process.

"From a financial perspective, real-time freight accruals can be calculated right as the freight is loaded, rather than waiting for invoices to arrive. Match-pay functionality will automate our internal audit process, assuring we only pay what we owe, while eliminating time consuming manual efforts," Powers added.

"Companies across all segments of manufacturing are realizing that there are now transportation solutions available that can provide them with the right tools for logistics cost savings while not taking years to achieve payback," according to Mark Nix, CEO of Cloud Logistics. "We are very excited to partner with a 110 year-old, well-known brand manufacturer like Fuller Industries to help them take their business to the next level of profitability while they continue to grow."

Over the last several months, I’ve given many presentations about the events and potential changes impacting supply chains. After one of them, an individual approached me with a very interesting observation: “It’s not just that these things occurred, it's that we were blindsided by them. We never saw it coming.”...
