Lucas Systems, the leading provider of solutions for intelligent mobile work execution for warehouses and distribution centers, today announced that Ron Kubera has joined the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. In this new role, Kubera is responsible for overall commercial strategy. Previously, Kubera served as SVP and General Manager of the Vocollect Business Unit of Honeywell.
"We are extremely happy to have Ron join the Lucas management team, as we aggressively expand our commercial operations to take full advantage of the market opportunity before us," said Rick Brown, President and CEO of Lucas Systems. "Lucas is in a phase of rapid growth as we continue to increase our market share in North America and Europe, while further expanding our footprint internationally. Ron's proven track record and industry background are the ideal fit to help us achieve our strategic growth objectives."
As SVP and General Manager of the Vocollect Business Unit of Honeywell, Kubera was instrumental in stabilizing the overall business fundamentals of Vocollect after its acquisition by Intermec, and he led the business unit during and after its acquisition by Honeywell. Prior to Honeywell, Kubera had almost 20 years of experience in the supply chain software industry, including senior management roles at Infor and JDA (including Manugistics).
"I am excited to join Lucas at this important time in the company's growth," says Kubera. "We are perfectly positioned to help DCs transform their operations and adapt to a more competitive environment marked by fierce cost and service pressures. Our industry-leading Jennifer voice-directed applications, our emphasis on process "smarts," and our commitment to leverage the latest mobile technologies - including ruggedized smartphones and smartwatches - results in mobile work execution solutions that deliver dramatic customer results and a return on investment unmatched by traditional voice picking, WMS, and other automation and IT solutions."
