Yale Materials Handling Corp. has introduced the ERC-VG, its new generation of electric rider lift trucks. The new truck is available in 36-, 48-, and 80-volt systems with capacities from 4,500 to 7,000 pounds. Don Chance, the president of Yale, says the new truck series is aimed at customers who want to switch from internal combustion trucks to electric trucks. The company says the truck can serve in short shuttle, long run, or dock applications. It offers quick lifts and high travel speeds. It is designed for driver comfort, with a wide floorboard and offset steering wheel and operator's seat to reduce fatigue. The controls allow drivers to adjust them for a customized fit.

Yale also announced an extension of its Veracitor line of diesel-powered trucks. The new models are the GP170 VX, with a capacity of 17,000 pounds at a 24-inch load center; the GP175VX, with a capacity of 17,500 pounds at a 36-inch load center; and the GP190VX, with a capacity of 19,000 pounds at a 24-inch load center.
