Los Angeles - Jan. 6, 2020 - CBRE announced today that James Breeze, a 16-year veteran of commercial real estate and research, has joined the company as Global Head of Industrial & Logistics Thought Leadership.

Mr. Breeze will work with CBRE's leadership, professionals and research staff to produce research that reinforces CBRE's position as a thought leader on trends, events and strategies shaping the Industrial & Logistics market globally and in the Americas. In addition, he regularly will outline CBRE's thought leadership and perspectives on the sector in presentations to both internal and external audiences. He is based in Phoenix.

"We are excited to add a research expert of James' caliber to continue the great work of David Egan and to collaborate with Matt Walaszek, our Associate Director of Industrial & Logistics Research," said Richard Barkham, CBRE Chief Global Economist and Head of Americas Research. "James' insight and analysis will equip our clients with guidance to make informed decisions about their investment, expansion and strategy in the dynamic industrial & logistics sector."

Mr. Breeze joins CBRE from Colliers International, where he served for nearly four years as National Director of Industrial Research. Prior to Colliers, he worked for Cushman & Wakefield, where he started as an entry-level analyst, transitioned to industrial brokerage in California's Inland Empire, and then served as Director of Research for the company's Southwest division.

Mr. Breeze earned his B.A. in Business Administration with a Minor in Finance from California State University - San Bernardino.

"It is imperative that CBRE continue to generate leading edge research to advise our clients on the rapid evolution of the industrial & logistics market, which is continually being reshaped by e-commerce, direct-to-consumer delivery and new technologies," said John Morris, CBRE Executive Managing Director and Americas Industrial & Logistics Leader. "Amid these massive shifts, real estate remains a critical component for supply chains. Our research under James will help clients assess the why, how, when and where of their distribution centers and other facilities."
