Run On Less Semi-Annual Event Demonstrates How Technology & Efficiency Can Push Boundaries On Improving Heavy-Duty Truck Fuel Economy

Fleet Advantage Provides Truck Industry Benchmark Data For NACFE's 2019 Run On Less Experience

FORT LAUDERDALE (October 24, 2019) - Fleet Advantage, a leading innovator in truck fleet business analytics, equipment financing, and lifecycle cost management today announced its proud participation in the second Run on Less cross-country roadshow by the North American Council for Freight Efficiency (NACFE), a three-week experience taking place with a variety of fleets across the country and culminating at the North American Commercial Vehicle (NACV) show in Atlanta on October 28 - 31.

Fleet Advantage is a partner in the Run on Less program, providing truck benchmarking data to measure Run on Less fleet performance through its award-winning software platform, ATLAAS Unified (Advanced Truck Lifecycle Administrative Analytics Software). ATLAAS currently monitors close to 15 billion miles of operating data from various industries. From ATLAAS, Fleet Advantage provided various MPG (mile per gallon) metrics including overall and driving MPGs by Cab Configuration.

The results were based on select NACFE criteria including day cab and sleeper tractors model years 2018 and newer; and those running 100 to 300 miles from base. Fleet Advantage also provided average MPGs for trucks model years 2005 - 2020.

The Run on Less experience aspires and encourages end-user fleets to explore and adopt more of the technologies and practices, OEMs to improve their products for quicker return on investment, and others to better support the efforts of the trucking industry. Its mission aims to double the freight efficiency of North American goods movement through the elimination of market barriers to information, demand and supply.

Fleet Advantage has been a partner of NACFE since 2017 and provided benchmarking MPG and industry data for their 2017 and 2018 Annual Fleet Fuel Studies. The Fleet Advantage data is a critical component to Run on Less since it is based on actual fleet truck usage across the country.

"We are excited to be a trusted partner in the Run on Less program since it is a highly strategic initiative that encourages the industry to push the boundaries of fuel economy for today's transportation network," said Brian Holland, President and CFO of Fleet Advantage. "In addition to fuel economy, the industry benefits from increased efficiencies by achieving greenhouse emissions standards, volatile fuel prices, and overall corporate sustainability goals."
