Memphis, Tenn., April 18, 2019 — The University of Memphis recognized Green Mountain Technology (GMT) for its commitment to innovation and the Memphis community through its involvement in the CommuniTech Research Park with the first Innovation Award at the soon-to-be annual Partner ForUM.
GMT Founder and CEO, Craig Russell, accepted the award, speaking briefly about GMT's involvement with the Park. As one of the Park's anchor tenants, GMT opened its first satellite office on the UofM campus last month with the intention of recruiting the university's top-performing tech talent, as well as a shared interest in furthering the economic development of both the university and the city of Memphis.
"Under Dr. Rudd's leadership... we are now connected to the university in a way we've never dreamed possible," said Russell, "and it's going to be a benefit not only for the university, but for us as a business."
