ToolsGroup Automates Demand-Driven, Omnichannel Supply Chain Planning at Dixons SEE

Electronics retailer Dixons South East Europe has gone live with ToolsGroup SO99+ software to automate its omnichannel supply chain planning and transform from a supply-driven to demand-driven model

ToolsGroup and its Greek partner THellas announced today that Dixons South East Europe (SEE) has gone live with ToolsGroup SO99+ software to automate its omnichannel supply chain planning and transform from a supply-driven to demand-driven model. Dixons SEE is part of the Dixon's Carphone Group worldwide network and operates in Greece under the name Kotsovolos, where it is the country's leading electronics and electrical goods retailer.

Dixons SEE uses ToolsGroup SO99+ to plan daily replenishment and handle product lifecycle management (PLM) for roughly 20,000 active items stocked in 70 retail stores, as well as its central distribution center and warehouses. Eight central planners use SO99+ to manage demand across all Dixon SEE's sales channels including the physical stores, online and B2B. It generates optimal inventory and purchasing proposals from suppliers and inter-location stock transfers.

Through this large-scale transformation project with THellas, Dixon's SEE has gained a highly automated, demand-driven planning process, increased visibility and optimized inventory levels throughout its network. THellas also tailored SO99+ to provide systems integration and custom capabilities, including for handling PLM and product substitution. For back office operations, the implementation supports strategic and tactical supply chain planning, using SO99+ modeling and scenario management capabilities.

According to Mr. Dimitris Galanis, Chief Commercial Officer, Dixons SEE, "We were impressed with how diligent and committed ToolsGroup's partner THellas worked to deliver this ambitious project with us. By transitioning from a supply- to demand-driven planning approach, we are becoming more operationally efficient and achieving higher service levels."

At an event to celebrate the project go-live, John Vasilakos, CEO, Dixons SEE added, "This project with THellas to implement ToolsGroup is the first major transformation project we've successfully completed in several years. We expect the operational improvements and service-driven approach will help us be more competitive in the marketplace."
