C.H. Robinson Selects ONE20 F-ELD for Contract Carriers

ONE20 F-ELD to Help Carrier Community Comply with ELD Mandate for Less

C.H. Robinson Selects ONE20 F-ELD for Contract Carriers

ONE20, the industry's first free membership community built exclusively for professional truck drivers, has entered into an Enterprise Agreement with C.H. Robinson, a Fortune 500 leading third party logistics provider headquartered in Eden Prairie, Minn. that provides global transportation services and third-party logistics.

The intent between ONE20 and C.H. Robinson is to extend ONE20's focus of delivering the most innovative products, services and savings to professional drivers. The agreement provides C.H. Robinson the ability to promote ONE20's recently announced electronic logging device (ELD) solution to its contracted carriers with 10 trucks or fewer. This agreement will also enable C.H. Robinson contracted carriers to become compliant for less, as eligible carriers will receive discounted ELD hardware.

"The ONE20 ELD is a driver-focused solution developed for drivers who need to be compliant, but want to do so with ease," said Chad Lindbloom, chief information officer of C.H. Robinson. "It appeals to us because it ensures our carriers can comply with the mandate as simply and cost-efficiently as possible."

The C.H. Robinson contracted ELD has zero monthly subscription fees and driver-controlled logs. The plug-and-play device is easy to install and only requires an Android or iOS device for operation. The ONE20 ELD solution will help C.H. Robinson contract carriers transition to electronic logs and compliance as hassle-free as possible. Fleets can also benefit from the solution with deeply-discounted monthly fees, giving them access to advanced reporting.

In addition, the ONE20/C.H. Robinson alliance will give ONE20's 350,000 members who become C.H. Robinson contracted carriers access to C.H. Robinson's available freight. Traditionally, owner/operators and small fleets book freight through load boards and third-party brokers, a time-consuming and expensive process. Mutual efforts between the two companies will work to expand the network of C.H. Robinson contract carriers, while also giving certain ONE20 members direct access to freight that will come straight from the source.

"All of our efforts are focused on the driver. Existing load boards create a host of challenges for drivers and our community will benefit greatly by having access to C.H. Robinson loads. We will also make our 'driver-first' F-ELD available to C.H. Robinson contract carriers moving freight across the continent," said Christian Schenk, founder and CEO of ONE20."

By integrating with the My ONE20 app, C.H. Robinson will also receive advanced visibility for capacity and truck and trailer type based on geographic locations. C.H Robinson contract carriers will also have the option for quicker and easier payment. This relationship will provide the ability for qualified carriers to be paid within 48 hours through C.H. Robinson's quick pay program versus payment that can traditionally take 21 days when booked through traditional load boards. The companies are also collaborating on new ways to pay drivers efficiently and provide discounts to joint members on items such as tires, food and services on the road.

Competing apps and solutions typically offer recycled loads on the same freight, adding cost and reducing margin for the driver. The ONE20 load board, which will be supported by C.H. Robinson, will not carry additional fees, as both parties are committed to putting more money in the hands of the driver.

"Drivers want to make good business decisions and our joint offering will help them find freight, secure loads and report route progress. This will enable drivers to plan further ahead and get paid faster," Schenk said. "Collaborating with C.H. Robinson provides our members with a unique benefit when joining the ONE20 community."

As ONE20 members, C.H. Robinson contract carriers will also have access to the full suite of free ONE20 products and services including truck-safe navigation, fuel prices, available parking, roadside assistance and exclusive deals and discounts offered through the My ONE20 mobile application. The My ONE20 solution allows drivers to rate and review truck-accessible points-of-interest and beginning this summer, the solution will be expanded to capture ratings at shippers and consignees for things like wait times, friendliness and facilities. Drivers can then share experiences with C.H. Robinson, which can help enable change and transparency in the industry and further extend ONE20's mission of improving life on the road.

"It's a win-win for our community," Schenk said. "Our singular goal is to make life on the road easier for drivers, and collaborating with C.H. Robinson is a big step toward doing just that."
