Dematic Announces Organizational Enhancements with Integration of Retrotech

GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN - MARCH 10, 2017 - Following the acquisition by the KION Group on 1 November 2016, Dematic, a leading supplier of integrated automated technology, software and services to optimize the supply chain, announced today the plans for integrating Retrotech, Inc. into its organization. Retrotech, with a 30-year legacy of providing expert modernizations and new automated systems in North America, will become a division of the Dematic North America Customer Service organization. Retrotech had been acquired by the KION Group in March, 2016.

The integration, which is targeted for completion in 2017, will greatly enhance Dematic's breadth of aftermarket lifecycle offerings as well as bring incremental solutions and top talent to Dematic's new systems business.


Moving forward, the division will be known as Dematic Retrotech and will remain headquartered in Rochester, NY. The company will continue to bring their consultative approach to both existing and prospective users of automation and software.

Mike Kotecki, Dematic Senior Vice President, Customer Service, stated, "This mutual integration brings a large body of experience and resources to the fast-growing Dematic organization while fueling Retrotech's growth with Dematic's broad portfolio of products, R&D and global reach."
