Preston, Maryland - Choptank Transport is pleased to announce the appointment of Morgan Haller to its carrier development team. Cultivating solid relationships with carriers and independent owner-operators is at the core of Choptank Transport's business. The company has 26,000 carriers in its database with more than 16,000 who are currently active and fully vetted.
"One of the telltale signs of a successful transportation provider is their ability to acquire and retain reliable, for-hire carriers," says Paul Wood, Choptank's director of carrier relations. "Promoting Morgan Haller to Carrier Development Representative creates a position that will heighten carrier/broker relations."
Choptank Transport has invested steadily over the last decade in its carrier development program. It has adopted new technologies and hired additional talent as an integral part of creating more value to its customers and expanding its overall business.
"As a previous logistics coordinator at Choptank, I've been talking to carriers for years. We've built some strong and lasting relationships and we want to show our appreciation for that," says Haller. "I look forward to focusing on things like carrier retention, recruitment and overall communication between owner-operators and the 140 logistics team members we interact with every day."
In addition to relationship building, Haller will assist in the selection process for its Top 100 carrier list, carriers of the quarter, and the annual National Truck Driver Appreciation Week event.
Choptank Transport is an award-winning, third-party logistics provider headquartered in Preston, Maryland with additional offices in Tampa, Atlanta, Denver and Dallas. Choptank specializes in truckload freight, refrigerated and dry van, LTL, intermodal, and flatbed. For more information, go to www.choptanktransport.com.
