Logistics systems integrator Dematic has named Bernard Biolchini executive vice president and chief executive officer of its Americas business, the company said today.

Biolchini joined Dematic in 2014 and most recently served as managing director of the company's Southern Europe region. In his new post, Biolchini will oversee the company's business operations in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

"I am honored to lead the Americas Region and continue the critical work of delivering automated technology and software solutions that exceed customer expectations," Biolchini said in a prepared statement. "There is a great deal of opportunity ahead for Dematic, and I look forward to helping the team accelerate our ability to design and deliver innovative offerings that solve our customers' biggest business challenges."

Before joining Dematic, Biolchini served as general manager for semiconductor company AMD in the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa. Prior to that role, he was president of Invensys Controls Europe and senior sales director for Hewlett-Packard Europe.

Based in Atlanta, Dematic is a division of German industrial truck manufacturer Kion Group, which acquired the company in 2016.
