Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. opened a 1-million-square-foot warehouse in Byhalia, Miss., the company said earlier this month.
The facility is Cooper's largest in the nation and employs 100 workers. Centrally located among its three U.S. tire manufacturing plants—in Findlay, Ohio, Texarkana, Ark., and Tupelo, Miss.—the facility allows the Ohio-base manufacturer to consolidate and distribute products direct to customers as well as to its regional distribution centers, the company said.
The new warehouse also includes room for growth, with capacity to expand to an additional 400,000 square feet, according to the company.
