Barcoding, Inc. Honors Fleet Farm with Innovator of the Year Award

BALTIMORE - December 3, 2019 - Barcoding, Inc., the leader in supply chain efficiency, accuracy and connectivity, has named Fleet Farm the 2019 recipient of the Innovator of the Year award.

Barcoding created the Innovator of the Year award to recognize a team that has implemented a mobile or automated data capture solution that has greatly impacted the business's efficiency, accuracy and connectivity.

"Fleet Farm went the extra mile to seek out new applications to maximize their investment and bring the best possible solution to the organization, creating a stronger partnership between store team members and the corporate IT and operations staff," said Jay Steinmetz, CEO of Barcoding. "This kind of attention to detail and dedication is exactly what we look for in an Innovator of the Year, and we look forward to continuing to work with this innovative company in the future."

After becoming a Barcoding customer last year, Fleet Farm implemented major technological changes to modernize its retail stores and new distribution center. With these changes, the company was able to improve its employees' effectiveness and customer experience.

"We are honored to be recognized by Barcoding as the 2019 Innovator of the Year," said Chris Zimmerman, IT manager at Fleet Farm. "With the technology Barcoding provided, we were able to modernize our company and create a better environment for both our employees and customers."

Fleet Farm was recognized at Barcoding's open house event on October 24, which marked the grand opening of the company's new corporate headquarters in the Highlandtown neighborhood of Baltimore.
