Verigo has added a new device to its suite of products. Pod Probe enables customers to monitor extreme temperatures with the same cutting-edge technology and real-time data analysis offered in previous Verigo Pods.
Pod Probe, measuring temperatures of -80°C to 80°C (-112° F to 176°F), records and wirelessly transmits temperature data and excursion alerts to the user's smartphone or tablet. Probe's 2-meter (6.5-foot) cable allows it to measure extreme temperatures past the capabilities of the Pod shell itself. This feature gives users the capability to measure temperatures outside the threshold of most industry data loggers. Verigo's mobile app enables users to view Pod activity up to 30 meters (100 feet) away. This feature ensures the product is never neglected during transit.
All data is automatically sent to the Cloud via Verigo's secure iOS™ or Android™ application, allowing users back at the office to search real-time, complete records of all Pod data, view location points, and generate PDF and CSV files for data review and analysis.
Practical uses of Pod Probe include pulp and biologics measurement. Pulp temperature is the measurement of the internal flesh of refrigerated commodities to ensure a more accurate temperature than measurement of the air surrounding the commodity. This measurement is commonplace with produce shipments. Biologics are genetically-engineered proteins derived from human genes.
