Since 70 percent of pallet damage typically occurs when a forklift hits the pallet's leg, Polymer Solutions International has worked to create a pallet with a superior leg design in order to extend the usable life of the pallet.
The company's ProStack Double Leg Ratchet Pallet is designed with a telescoping double leg that has a series of interlocking teeth. This ratchet-style construction secures the top deck to the base via the interlocking legs to yield a connection three times stronger than welded or snap pallet construction designs. The double leg construction forms nearly half an inch of damage protection, two to three times thicker than that of old style single leg pallets.
With enhanced strength and rigidity engineered into the legs, the pallet offers resistance to potential damage caused by forklift and pallet jack impacts. Additionally, the pallet's bottom deck is designed to prevent damage caused by pallet jack over-pumping.
ProStack pallets are made from 100-percent recyclable, FDA-approved high density polyethylene (HDPE). In addition to resisting bacteria, mold, and other contaminants, the pallets feature an open-grid top deck and smooth finish that is easy to clean and inspect. The ProStack Double Leg Ratchet pallet is available in several different materials, including approved grades for fire retardant applications.
The pallet is rated for a 30,000-pound static load, or a 5,000-pound dynamic load. Edge rackable to 2,200 pounds, they offer four-way fork entry and are ideal for use in general industry, pharmaceutical, food processing, beverage, and warehousing applications.
The ProStack pallet may customized with the following options: perimeter lip, hot-stamped logo or identification marks, grommets, solid top deck, and a variety of colors, including black, blue, gray, and red.
