When Creform Corp. designed its new Picking Cart, it used a system of plastic-coated steel pipes, joints, and accessories to create an efficient, maneuverable, and ergonomic push cart.
The basic cart features six wheels, with the larger- diameter center wheel casters being fixed so that the cart pivots about the middle, providing turn-on-a-dime handling. This enhances maneuverability in restrictive, narrow areas. It also allows the operator to steer and push the cart with minimal effort. The four swivel casters, positioned as a traditional cart at the corners of the structure, help to support and distribute the load while ensuring stability and safety during loading, unloading, and travel operations.
The standard cart incorporates a 19- by 39inch footprint, yet provides a 500 pound load capacity. For warehouse operations, the Picking Cart integrates dual cylindrical holsters, one at each end, for storage of scanning equipment. Also included are convenient racks for safely storing lightweight stepladders to retrieve upper-level items. For versatility, the new cart design includes no-tools-required, repositionable shelves to accommodate varying heights of cartons and parts. Each shelf is equipped with a fold-down, tilt-up separator positioned along the centerline of the shelf, to help organize and differentiate products and parts. A simple magnetic catch holds the separator in position.
Available in a variety of colors, the cart can be customized to provide greater load-carrying capacities and larger shelf areas.
