LS- 4000E tilt-tray sorter and LS-4000CB crossbelt sorter

March 1, 2007
No Comments

FKI Logistex has launched its next-generation sorters?the LS- 4000E tilt-tray sorter and the LS-4000CB crossbelt sorter. The new sorters offer a common platform that enhances system flexibility, as well as a state-of-the-art energy system that reduces operating costs. The new units feature energyefficient linear synchronous motors (LSM) that eliminate contact between moving parts, leading to low wear and tear and low noise levels in the range of normal conversation.

The LS-4000E and LS-4000CB models feature smaller, modular designs with a low sorter section height and up to 20 feet between supports. That allows these sorters to be more easily integrated into existing facilities. The spacesaving design provides extra room above the sorter and on the floor. Since the LS-4000E and LS-4000CB sorters are built on the same optimized platform, they offer fast and easy installation, as well as high reliability and availability.

The new sorters also increase design versatility by providing full access to multiple floor levels. The sorters feature a frame incline of up to 10 degrees and track level changes up to 23 feet in both straight and curved sections.

The LS-4000E tilt-tray units can sort singletray items measuring up to 39 by 39 inches and weighing up to 110 pounds. This sorter is suited for use in airports and airlines, post and parcel, overnight delivery, and warehouse and distribution facilities. The LS-4000CB cross-belt sorter provides precise positioning and gentle handling and can sort items measuring up to 24 by 24 inches and weighing up to 66 pounds. It excels at sorting high-friction and fragile items, enabling it to perform well in the overnight delivery and garment industries.
