Vocollect, a provider of voice-directed work solutions, offers a new wireless voice recognition headset. The wireless digital approach used in creating the SRX headset bypasses typical performance problems found in the general-purpose audio circuits of many handheld and fixed terminal devices, according to the company. Significantly different from conventional Bluetooth technology headsets, the SRX headset uniquely balances voice recognition processing between the headset and Vocollect Voice software running on the wearable or handheld computer.
The Vocollect SRX headset facilitates voicedirected work in processes where a device is mounted remotely, such as on a forklift, pallet jack or trolley cart. Because it has no cables, the SRX headset also improves user comfort and safety in busy DC environments. The new headset is also designed for compatibility with Vocollect's Talkman T5 wearable computers.
