Draw-Tite roll-up door

July 1, 2006
No Comments

Goff's Enterprises offers a new external roll-up door designed to withstand high winds. The Draw-Tite powered roll-up door has a unique tensioning system that enables the door to maintain a seal under gusts of up to 70 mph and prevents the curtain from blowing out of its guides.

Standard power on the door is an in-tube style 110-volt motor that moves the door at 6 inches per second. An optional external motor is available that can increase the door speed to 36 inches per second. A weather-tight enclosure is also available to protect the external motor when mounted outside of the building. Although more costly doors offer higher rollup speeds, the difference in room exposure time for a standard 8- by 10-foot doorway is less than a second, according to the manufacturer.

The Draw-Tite roll-up door features breakaway capability if the door is hit by a vehicle. The guide bar snaps back into place within the guides in seconds. Fiberglass protrusion tubes (horizontal stiffeners) bend if loaded, but won't break or kink. The 18-ounce vinyl door is rot-, tear- and mildew-resistant, standing up to the harshest weather. Doors sizes range from 8 by 8 feet to 14 by 14 feet to cover a range of openings.
