MassRobotics and SICK Build Partnership to Assist Robotics and Automation Startups

SICK, Inc., a leading manufacturer of sensor solutions for industrial applications, is announcing a partnership with MassRobotics. With this partnership, local and global robotics startups and corporations will have better access to innovative sensor and safety solutions from SICK.

MassRobotics is a nonprofit organization located in Boston, Mass. After seeing the massive growth in the robotics and automation industry, MassRobotics was created to provide an innovation hub and startup cluster focused on the needs of the robotics community. The organization works to foster a collaborative space to inspire the next generation of robotics and automation innovators and builders.

"We believe that a world-leading company like SICK has a lot to offer to our startups, especially ones innovating in the mobile robots space."

The mission of MassRobotics is to help create the next generation of successful robotics and automation companies by providing work spaces and resources needed to develop, prototype, test, and commercialize products and solutions.

SICK is a trusted manufacturer of sensor technology in the field of robotics. LiDAR technology from SICK can be used for robotics safety and navigation and machine vision systems are used for robotics perception and end-of-arm tooling.

With SICK's product portfolio, up-and-coming robotics and automation startups will gain better access to sensor technology needed to help their machines operate efficiently and safely.
