DHL Supply Chain, the Americas leader in contract logistics and part of Deutsche Post DHL Group, hosted its annual Carrier Summit to recognize select carrier customers for their superior performance in 2018. Six carriers were honored with the 2018 Carrier Performance Award at the event in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., which featured company overviews, carrier strategy alignment, and customer presentations designed to further engage DHL Supply Chain's carrier partners and its customers.
More than 70 North American carriers participated in the summit. This year's Carrier Performance Award recipients included:
-LTL Carrier of the Year: Reddaway
-National LTL Carrier of the Year: SAIA
-TL Carrier of the Year: Arnold Transportation Services
-Canadian TL Carrier of the Year: Kriska Transportation
-IMC of the Year: Radiant Clipper
-Home Delivery Carrier of the Year: NVC Logistics Group
"Our Carrier Performance Award winners represent the best of the best in the supply chain," said Jim Monkmeyer, President, Transportation, DHL Supply Chain, North America. "Their partnership to deliver, even under the most challenging conditions, continues to support our ability to consistently exceed customer expectations. Event speakers included DHL Supply Chain's Jim Monkmeyer, President, Transportation; Dennis Drinan, Vice President, LLP, Americas; and Tim Podvin, Sr. Director of Carrier Development. Panel discussions included carrier representatives from Radiant Clipper, SAIA, and Swift Transportation.
DHL Supply Chain's next Carrier Summit will take place in March 2020.
