Navis to Introduce Strategies for Cargo and Vessel Performance at CMA Shipping Conference

Navis Product Manager to Present at Conference

Navis, the leading provider of maritime software solutions for efficient and compliant cargo and vessel performance, will showcase its strategies and solutions for performance and compliance, as well as speak at the annual CMA Shipping Conference taking place April 2-4, 2019 in Stamford, Connecticut. As the maker of the industry-standard loading computer for container vessels with a market share of more than 60 percent, Navis will share how to unlock greater operational productivity and efficiency in the US-based ocean shipping market.

Working closely with ship owners and liner operators, Navis is pioneering in the integration of the latest lashing rules of major classification societies such as DNV GL, Lloyds Register (LR) and American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) in its MACS3 loading computer in order to ensure that customers can profit from higher cargo intake on their container vessels while ensuring safety. Thanks to its direct connection to the on premise stowage planning solution StowMan and the collaborative stowage solution in the cloud, XVELA, customers can profit from direct access to lashing calculations as well as stability and strength results to optimize vessel stowage during the planning phase to achieve greater utilization.

On Thursday, April 4 at 9: 30am EDT, Bastian Gehnke, Product Manager for Navis' maritime unit, Carrier and Vessel Solutions (NCVS), will present on the "The Digital Revolution - Case Studies" panel where he will introduce the unique approach of a connected ecosystem for vessel and cargo performance - and detail how cloud services support effective and compliant cargo and vessel operations. This session will emphasize the value for effective fleet operations and visibility of connected cargo and vessel data in real time through Navis' software solution, helping organizations overcome data silos and foster efficient collaboration of all stakeholders.

In addition, conference attendees will learn how Navis supports ship operators to fully comply with international emission compliance with its certified solutions Bluetracker EU MRV and IMO DCS.

"As the American ocean shipping market remains strong, we continue our commitment to grow our partnerships and presence in the U.S.," said Martin Bardi, Vice President Global Sales, XVELA and Navis Carrier & Vessel Solutions. "Through our suite of software and services, we are able to scale and support ship owners, technical managers and ocean carriers and help them optimize their business to meet their goals."

Maritime experts from Navis will be on site at booth 122, where they will showcase the onboard loading computer MACS3, stowage planning software StowMan and fleet performance and emission compliance software Bluetracker.
