CFI Recognizes 140 Professional Drivers for 2 Million Miles of Career Service

June 27, 2018

Joplin, MO - June 27, 2018 -- In an industry where driver retention and turnover historically has been among the most intractable of challenges to overcome, CFI, a leading North America full-truckload carrier and subsidiary TFI International Inc. (TSX: TFII, OTCQX: TFIFF), has recognized 140 veteran drivers for two million miles of service and 20 or more consecutive years of service with the company.

"We take tremendous pride in creating a family environment where we are focused on the needs of our drivers as the foundation to consistently superior service," said Greg Orr, CFI's president.

"There is no better example of our commitment to be a great place for professional truck drivers than those who have careers with CFI surpassing 20 or more years. I could not be prouder of these dedicated drivers, and the loyalty and professionalism they have demonstrated over their careers with us."

Orr cited several factors in CFI's well-earned reputation as an excellent long-term employer for drivers. The company regularly engages with its driver community in multiple monthly communications forums, gathering driver input and feedback on needs and issues. It recognizes superior driver safety and efficiency performance with quarterly and annual awards and bonuses.

CFI has continually improved its compensation package to provide market-competitive pay and benefits, including its well-received Experienced Drive Pay Package introduced late last year. It actively recruits U.S. military veterans into its fleet, including providing specialized driver training for veterans and tuition reimbursement for new drivers learning the trade.

CFI also operates one of the industry's youngest fleets, with an average tractor age of just under 2 years, and this year is continuing to refresh its fleet with the delivery of 600 new Kenworth T-680 over-the-road tractors in CFI's signature "viper red" color.

Importantly, the company also strives to be a good corporate citizen, responding to the needs of communities where CFI employees live and work through targeted charitable contributions and pro-bono services to deserving non-profit organizations. Its annual Truckloads of Treasures fund-raising campaign, which in 2017 celebrated its 24th consecutive year, raised more than $54,000 from employees for 23 charities in North America.

All these programs represent investments in its driver community. Said Orr, "Our goal is to be the industry's top-rated carrier, with a reputation as a quality, family-friendly, driver-focused company providing stable, long-term careers for professionals."

The 140 professional drivers honored for their distinguished careers have collectively amassed over 275 million miles serving customers, and cumulatively represent nearly 300 years of service with CFI.
