Open Sky Group Recognized in Gartner Warehousing & Fulfillment Vendor Guide as a Supply Chain Execution Specialty Consulting Firm Acknowledgment adds to a growing and impressive list of supply chain recognition and awards for Open Sky Group

Open Sky Group, a global specialist for implementing JDA Software solutions, announces today that the research and advisory team at Gartner, Inc. has recognized and included Open Sky Group as a supply chain execution - specialty consulting firm in Gartner's May 2018 Warehousing & Fulfillment Vendor Guide. Gartner developed the guide to help supply chain and IT leaders use the research to help develop a comprehensive logistics technology portfolio strategy.
In addition to this most recent acknowledgement by Gartner, Open Sky Group has been recognized with a number of awards for its superior service offerings and partner relationships including JDA Software Top WMS Reseller, North America two years in a row, JDA Real Results Best Partner Project in 2017, SupplyChainBrain.com's Top 100 Supply Chain Partners for 5 years and Supply & Demand Chain Executives Top 100 Supply Chain Projects for two years. The company has also been named to the Inc. 5000 twice.
"It's exciting to be recognized by Gartner as a supply chain execution - specialty consulting firm and add that to our growing list of accomplishments," says Curt Sardeson, CEO of Open Sky Group. "Our rapid implementation methodology of disciplined agility means quicker installation, reduced modifications and faster return on investment for WMS and Labor upgrades and implementations. We help clients take full advantage of the new functionality, enhanced configurability, web-based interface and real-time dashboards available in the newest software versions."
"In addition to changing the paradigm for how supply chain software is implemented, we are also innovating through our approach of empowering clients to conduct future upgrades themselves. We've made these innovations because we thoroughly understand the imperative to reduce IT operating and support spend for companies. Notably, Open Sky Group's clients are seeing an average of 30% maintenance cost savings when they upgrade to the newest versions of JDA Warehouse Management and JDA Warehouse Labor Management solutions," says Chad Kramlich, COO of Open Sky Group.

Australian supermarket chain rolls out AI-powered grocery carts

Grocery shoppers in Australia will soon be able to zip in and out of the store in record time, bypassing the lines for cashiers or self-checkout kiosks altogether. They can just walk in, make their selections, and walk out with their bags in hand.

In its first deployment in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, the system is being tested by Coles Supermarkets, a food and beverage retailer with more than 1,800 grocery and liquor stores throughout the country.

How green is your glue?

If you’re looking to make the packaging process more eco-friendly, the obvious place to start is with the box itself.
