DHL Supply Chain tops 110 million tires shipped annually in the US and Canada

DHL Supply Chain, the Americas' leader in contract logistics and part of Deutsche Post DHL Group, announced today that it shipped more than 110 million tires in the U.S. and Canada in 2017. With e-commerce sales and the demand for premium and intelligent tires continuing to grow, tire manufacturers and distributors are adapting by partnering with experienced logistics providers, such as DHL Supply Chain, capable of offering tailored and innovative warehousing and transportation solutions.

Operating as the dominant logistics supplier of the tire industry for more than 20 years, DHL Supply Chain currently services four of the top five original equipment tire manufacturers and a leading tire retailer. DHL Supply Chain is working with its customers to adapt to the increasingly dynamic market by tailoring its extensive supply chain solutions to the specific requirements of the evolving tire industry, including:

Enhanced support for efficient intralogistics processes within tire manufacturing. Increased warehousing space close to customers to maintain stock availability improve speed to market. Integrated IT solutions to improve visibility of orders and demand. Managed and dedicated transportation solutions to minimize the complexity of distribution.
