Fast-growing Devine moving Reno operations to modern facility

RENO, Nevada — Devine Intermodal, positioning itself to double the size of its northern Nevada operations in the next three years, leased a modern 100,000-square-foot logistics facility at Rock Boulevard and East McCarran Boulevard.

The facility, which was previously occupied by FedEx, allows Devine to consolidate its operations in northern Nevada into a single location.

Devine currently employs 100 people in the region, and it plans to expand to 200 employees during the next three years, said Bennie Gamble, Devine's Reno-based Vice President of Nevada operations.

"We'll finally be able to get all of our staff under one roof," Gamble said. "We've been growing so quickly that we occupied five different locations in Sparks during 2017."

He said the warehouse and distribution facility at 1185 S. Rock Blvd. includes 21 acres of paved, lighted and secured yard space to serve its growing fleet of trucking equipment.

The mega terminal will be home to Devine's third-party logistics warehousing and distribution operations, a 3,200-square-foot shop for truck and trailer repair and a 3,500-square-foot office.

"This excellent, well-located facility strongly supports our position as a market leader," said Gamble. "Devine's bright blue trucks are among the newest equipment on the road, we pay our drivers rates that are above regional standards, and we provide good insurance, paid time-off and 401(k) benefits to all our employees."

Devine Intermodal, which is headquartered in West Sacramento, has been providing trucking connections between northern Nevada and the Port of Oakland for 30 years.

Its trucking operation now includes service to 11 Western states, and its third-party logistics team provides sophisticated distribution, fulfillment and e-commerce services from its northern Nevada facility.

Richard Coyle, president of Devine Intermodal, said the company's expansion into the high-profile building at Rock and McCarran reflects its strong confidence in northern Nevada.

"We want to continue our support of the region's healthy, vibrant economy," Coyle said. "Even as we dramatically expand our staff, we find that skilled, high-quality professionals are eager to join the Devine team. This new facility puts us in a strong position to grow with northern Nevada."
