Birmingham, AL - February 26, 2018 - Command Alkon, the global leader in digital supply chain solutions for the heavy building materials industry, announces that Monty Newport, Senior Vice President, and Chris Strickland, VP, Products have been selected as 2018 Supply Chain Provider Pros to Know by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine. "I'm honored to have two of my leaders included on this year's prestigious Pros to Know roster. Chris Strickland and Monty Newport are accomplished innovators in their respective areas of expertise, helping to drive growth and bottom line results faster for our customers in heavy building materials."
"Supply & Demand Chain Executive congratulates the 2018 Supply & Demand Chain Executive Pros to Know recipients. The Pros to Know is a listing of exceptional corporate executives at manufacturing and non-manufacturing enterprises who are leading initiatives to help prepare their companies' supply chains for the significant challenges in the year ahead," says John Yuva, editor of Supply & Demand Chain Executive. "We commend this year's recipients for their achievements in supply chain and for paving the way for the next generation of exceptional supply chain leaders. This year's recipients embody the commitment to transformative supply chain tools and processes, earning these individuals a rightful place in this year's Pros to Know listing."

Monty Newport is the Senior Vice President at Command Alkon, where he has worked for 26 years. He has held several different positions, ranging from sales to service, giving him the unique ability to understand their customer base and the issues and challenges they face. He has a sound understanding of the strategic direction his company can take with their current products and the experience to help customers with the Command Alkon solutions they need to support their supply chain challenges.

Chris Strickland has been with Command Alkon for 16 years in various positions that involved consulting, selling, services, project management, and strategic marketing, both internationally and domestically. He is now on the Executive Management team focusing on strategic projects and initiatives. He has company-wide responsibility for the Command Alkon Product Organization, including product strategy and planning, product management, project management, SaaS services and various other operational activities. He is also working to apply innovative philosophy and industry expertise to the next generation of Command Alkon's product offerings, both client-server and web/mobile.

The Pros to Know Awards recognize supply chain executives, and manufacturing and non-manufacturing enterprises, that are leading initiatives to help prepare their companies' supply chains for the significant challenges of today's business climate. This year's list includes the 2018 Provider Pros to Know-individuals from software firms and service providers, consultancies or academia, who helped their supply chain clients or the supply chain community at large prepare to meet these challenges-and Practitioner Pros, who do the same within their own companies.
