July 19, 2017 - Los Angeles, Calif. - LexWest, a company affiliated with The Lex Group, is now providing its premier slit, hot rolled coils of steel to wine and vineyard industries on the West Coast, specifically for trellis production for use in vineyards across the region. With up to 250 tons of steel shipped per month and 3,000 tons per year, LexWest continues to see consistent sales of vineyard trellises which last up for more than 30 years at a time, demonstrating the demand for the product in new growth areas.

"We've seen tremendous growth, year over year, on the West Coast as steel trellises have been one of the few flat rolled steel industry segments that is making headway," said Joe Lieser, Western Sales Director at LexWest. "We have been pleased with the amount of support we've received from customers since we started selling in 2011, and look forward to continuous growth within the industry."

Defined as the horizontal cross-arm at the top of the vertical grapestake, LexWest has helped the California wine industry emerge from a challenging economy due to the trellis product. According to a report commissioned by the Wine Institute and the California Association of Winegrape Growers, the California wine and winegrape sector and allied businesses deliver a total economic contribution of $57.6 billion annually to the state's economy and $114.1 billion annually to the U.S. economy.

LexWest provides quality products giving them a strong competitive advantage. Its current location in Los Angeles provides excellent opportunities to serve the entire west coast and Mexico, and has access to strong international ports. LexWest operates on a unique distribution process that reduces costs and provides customers with superior production quality, logistical support and high quality products.

The LexWest plant is currently taking orders, and interested manufacturers can obtain more information at http://lexwest.net. The company also operates LexCentral in Chicago and LexSouth in Houston, expanding its reach across the majority of the U.S.
