Navis, a part of Cargotec Corporation and provider of operational technologies and services that unlock greater performance and efficiency for the world's leading organizations across the shipping supply chain, today announced winners of its Inspire Awards program at Navis World 2017, sponsored by Port Technology International. PD Ports, CMA CGM, YILPORT, Puerto Central and Hapag-Lloyd received Awards of Excellence, while DaChan Bay Terminals, China COSCO Shipping Container Line, Terminal de Contêineres de Paranaguá, DCT Gda?sk SA and DP World UK earned Awards of Recognition.

In its second year, the Navis Inspire Awards honor terminal operators, ocean carriers, vessel owners and port authorities that demonstrate distinction, a commitment to excellence and innovation at their facilities and communities at large. In total, 25 nominees submitted entries in five categories, including Terminal Operations Optimization, Vessel Performance and Capacity Optimization, Innovation, Customer and Community Impact and Collaboration Across the Container Flow. Winners were selected through a combination of peer voting on the Navis Collaboration Center (NCC) and final evaluation by a joint Navis and Port Technology International judging panel.

"In the two short years since we first launched the Inspire Awards, tremendous evolution and innovation has taken place among our global user base. Competition among this year's class of nominees was particularly strong, given that each offered unique achievements indicative of best-in-class operations and industry leadership," said Andy Barrons, Chief Strategy Officer and SVP, Navis.

Navis unveiled this year's winners during a special Inspire Awards luncheon held during Navis World. Awards of Excellence were presented to those with the highest scores in each category, while runners up received Awards of Recognition. The 2017 Inspire Awards winners include:
