ModusLink Wins 2017 Gold Stevie Award For Excellence in Sales & Customer Service

ModusLink's Customer Support Capabilities Recognized with Front-Line Customer Service Team of the Year

ModusLink Wins 2017 Gold Stevie Award For Excellence in Sales & Customer Service

ModusLink Corporation (NASDAQ: MLNK), a global, omni-channel technology and fulfillment provider, announced today that its customer support team was named the winner of a Gold Stevie® Award in the "Front-Line Customer Service Team of the Year - Business Services Industries" category. The awards were presented during a gala banquet on Friday, February 24 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, with more than 650 executives from around the world in attendance.

ModusLink was named the "Front-Line Customer Service Team of the Year" in recognition of its dedicated customer support programs, specifically being honored for the team's efforts for HERE, an Open Location Platform company that enables people, enterprises, and cities to harness the power of location. ModusLink provides update support to HERE's digital map services.

ModusLink's belief is that its customer service employees should be as well-versed in their customers' products as the end-users are who call with a question or a complaint. This policy ensures callers can automatically speak or chat with someone who knows the product and understands what issue is being described to them. This helps ModusLink give callers a pleasant customer service experience and greatly increases the chance for immediate problem resolution.

ModusLink has dedicated support teams stationed at its contact center locations around the world, connecting with consumers by focusing on first-time resolution efforts to build customer loyalty, while simultaneously preserving or increasing sales to reduce returns and cancellations. With always-on global support and data-driven analysis, ModusLink is able to provide its clients a completely integrated solution that covers the entire customer lifecycle.

"Receiving the Gold Stevie Award for Sales & Customer Service is a testament to the unwavering dedication of our amazing customer support teams here at ModusLink," said Glenn Brower, Vice President of Sales at ModusLink. "We believe that strong customer service should be built upon mutual trust, product understanding and a dedication to solving the customer's problem the first time. We're thrilled that our work with HERE and our innovative approach was recognized."

The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service are the world's top honors for customer service, contact center, business development and sales professionals. More than 2,300 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were evaluated in this year's competition, an increase of 10% over 2016. More than 75 members of several specialized judging committees determined the Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award placements from among the finalists earlier this month.

"The growth of the Sales & Customer Service awards program illustrates the importance of the functions highlighted - sales, business development and customer service - to successful enterprises of all types, and how integral recognition in these domains are to building and maintaining corporate reputations," said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.
