LEXINGTON, S.C. (July 14, 2016) - Southeastern Freight Lines, the leading provider of regional less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation services, today announced that John Toombs has been promoted to service center manager in New Orleans, Louisiana.
In his 13-year career at Southeastern, Toombs has held several positions, including outbound freight handler, quality assurance leader and inbound supervisor. Most recently, he served as operations manager in Houston, Texas.
"Since starting as a part-time freight handler while finishing school at North Carolina State University, John has demonstrated dedication to providing quality service without question to each and every customer," said Brian Schulz, regional vice president of operations for Southeastern. "We are excited for John to continue to grow in his professional career and look forward to seeing him succeed as service center manager in New Orleans."
Toombs moves to New Orleans with his wife, Hollie. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and cheering on the Wolfpack.
