Tosca, a leader in reusable packaging and supply chain solutions, will leverage Transplace's managed transportation services, proprietary logistics technology and industry expertise to optimize its North American cross-border and international transportation and logistics operations.

"After experiencing substantial growth, Tosca recognized the opportunity to optimize our operations, reduce costs and improve customer service by outsourcing our transportation management to an experienced third party provider," said Michael Wasson, vice president of supply chain and operations at Tosca. Added Wasson, "Partnering with Transplace gives us better insight into market conditions and the ability to quickly and effectively react to those changes and be more responsive to customer demand. Additionally, leveraging the scale and buying power of Transplace along with its large carrier network will help further manage transportation costs and secure the capacity needed to best serve our customers."

"Transplace is excited for the opportunity to partner with Tosca to provide the services and technology needed to help them effectively execute their transportation operations in order to support company growth and better serve their customers," said Vincent Chiodo, senior vice president, sales, Transplace. Australian supermarket chain rolls out AI-powered grocery carts

In its first deployment in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, the system is being tested by Coles Supermarkets, a food and beverage retailer with more than 1,800 grocery and liquor stores throughout the country.
