JTS' Carrier Relations Department Grows to Support Industry Changes

(Fresno, CA) March 1, 2016 -- Johanson Transportation Service, a leading third-party logistics provider, announces changes in their Carrier Relations Department, including the promotion of Alicia Ruiz to Director of Compliance and Legal Affairs, the promotion of Whitney Yano to Carrier Relations Manager and the hiring of Genieve Aguirre as Carrier Relations Coordinator.

"JTS is staying at the forefront of the constantly changing regulations in the industry by appointing a compliance expert to oversee this", says VP of Corporate Operations Randy Gabardi. "The restructuring of the Carrier Relations department will support our diligence in protecting our customers and choosing the highest quality carriers possible."

Ruiz will oversee all Carrier Compliance functions, act as a liaison on all legal affairs, assist in customer contract reviews and renewals, manage JTS insurance renewals and processing of credit forms, and she will conduct specific internal and external reporting as required. She has been with JTS for eight years, has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice, and holds a Certified Transportation Broker designation through the TIA.

Yano will manage daily operations of all carrier-related functions, including: carrier communication; managing, qualifying and ensuring continued compliance throughout the carrier database; managing insurance policies; and, providing carrier-related support to all JTS regional offices.

Aguirre will support daily operations of all carrier-related functions.
