Locus Robotics says bots now handle full omnichannel spectrum of retail, wholesale, and e-commerce

Locus Robot

Warehouse automation provider Locus Robotics introduced a software upgrade that allows its autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) to handle the full range of omnichannel tasks in the DC, fulfilling either retail, e-commerce, or wholesale/store replenishment from a single bot. The new functionality also enables putaway functionality, so LocusBots can now help warehouse employees perform restocking tasks or re-slot returned and refurbished inventory. In another upgrade, the Locus system now supports gamification, using real-time order picking data to help users create fun and engaging internal competitions to motivate and reward warehouse workers for achieving higher order fulfillment levels.
